Surely, being 7 points behind, there is little hope for Liverpool to win the Premiership this season but what a great step this is towards keeping those hopes up! They absolutely smashed Manchester United who were labeled as unbeatable by many.

Liverpool had a great victory on Tuesday by defeating Spanish giants Real Madrid 4-0 and kicking them out of Champions League. Liverpool is often criticized about not giving their 100% in English Premier League even though they have been doing a tremendous job in Champions League for the past 5 years by winning one in 2005 in Istanbul and making it to the final once more in 2007 in Athens. On the other hand they have not won the Premier League since 1990 even though they hold the "most-winner" title with 18 times.

and this one goes for Wayne Rooney who made a ridiculous statement couple of days ago about how he hates Liverpool being an Evertonian since childhood!

Watchmen is a hit!

As I have previously pointed out, I have been waiting impatiently for the movie Watchmen. Apparently it became a hit as it earns almost $25 Mil on first day.

Watchmen is based on the comic book limited series of the same name. It takes place in an alternate history United States in which superheroes emerged in the 1940s and 1960s, helping the United States to win the Vietnam War. The country is edging closer to a nuclear war with the Soviet Union, freelance costumed vigilantes have been outlawed, and most costumed superheroes are in retirement or working for the government. The story focuses on the personal development and struggles of the heroes as they investigate the murder of a government supported superhero. The investigation pulls them out of retirement and eventually leads them to confront a plot to kill millions of innocent people.

It has a 8,3 score on IMDB so far which is relatively high for a comic-based movie. I just cannot wait to see it. I am planning to write a detailed review afterwards. Stay tuned!

40,000 planets could inhabit intelligent aliens

University of Edinburgh made a research that estimates up to 37,964 planets can support life form that is as intelligent as humans. This is actually more of a calculation than a research.

The estimate took factors such as temperature and availability of water and minerals into account. It was then extrapolated in the Milky Way. I want to stress out the point that this calculation is limited to our galaxy. Hubble Telescope estimated in 1999 that there are a minimum of 125 billion galaxies in the universe. Some research numbers go up to 500 billion. It seems extremely unlikely that Earth is the only planet that inhabits intelligent life forms.

The researchers believe it will take 300 to 400 years for us to make contact with our neighbors. It is only natural to think that some of them are more technologically advanced than us. I personally expect that we will first be contacted rather than contact. Especially when you think about how much we have on our plate with wars, global warming, poverty, immense capitalism etc. Extraterrestrial research will not have a financial priority unless we solve those problems first and I do not see it happening in the near future.

Three Monkeys

With his latest work, 3 Monkeys, Nuri Bilge Ceylan, the talented Turkish director, presents a masterpiece. I have seen the movie yesterday and I am amazed by the poetic expression of Ceylan.

The movie is dark and painful. It questions the moral of society and how one suspends himself from other people's pain and suffering. Even though it is a story of a family and the paths they take to avoid facing the truth, it's also about personal tendency to close our eyes to that we prefer to ignore.

Shots are brilliantly composed and the colors match the mood of the film perfectly. 3 Monkeys is such a great art-house film and a proof of how much a director can show his brilliance. Ceylan's movie has recently won the best director award in Cannes. It is now included in the shortlist for last eight in the Foreign Film Oscar. Since it is not a commercial movie I doubt that it will win the Oscar but it is very obvious who I am rooting for.

Prison Break to be Cancelled After This Season

According to the latest news, this will be Prison Break's last season.

"The show just played out," says Fox entertainment president Kevin Reilly. "Creatively everybody feels enough stories were told ... we want it to finish strong and not just gimp out next season."

"Prison" has four more episodes set to air, and might shoot a could extra series-ending episodes as well.

"They have a cool ending," Reilly reassured.

I could not have agreed more with this decision. It started great, it continued great but this season you really feel that everything that can be told has been told and they are now stretching it. I hope they have a good ending for this great show!

Aceto's post about this subject inspired me to write about this great movie I have seen recently.

Vicky Cristina Barcelona is about two American girls, spending the summer together in the beautiful Spanish city of Barcelona. The tale starts with Vicky and Cristina who have opposite attitudes towards life and love. They meet Juan Antonio, a mysterious yet magnetic painter and are seduced by him. Things get even more complicated when the crazy ex wife of Juan Antonio, Maria Elena, is added into the picture.

The film stresses out the impossibility of love. As Maria Elena puts it "only unfulfilled love can be romantic." It also analyzes the issues of traditional marriage and partnership in today's world. In the end, we are puzzled with the questions of if anyone in the world can achieve a desired level of total satisfaction through relationships. Otherwise, we are stuck with the "idea" of overrated romantic love affairs.

Even though it sounds like otherwise, this film is a classical comedy without exhausting you with the overused theme of love. However, this movie manages to leave you sour after the end with its approach to love and happiness.

I would highly recommend Vicky Cristina Barcelona, to anyone who would enjoy some self exploring. Besides it has two great scenery in it; Barcelona and Scarlett Johansson

Pirate Bay reaches 25 million peers

According to the article from Techradar Swedish website The Pirate Bay has hit 25 million record users, just two months after hitting 15 million peers on its file-sharing tracking network.

That means more people are downloading Pirate-tracked music, movies, TV shows and software using the BitTorrent protocol than there are people in Scandinavia. The site's founders have asked the Guinness Book of Records to recognize it as the world's largest torrent tracker.

Co-founder Peter Sunde suggested the content owners to get onboard and try to work with the people they brand as pirates to find a way to distribute movies and more legally. He urged "Stop hating the future. Be smart and come over from the dark side." We fully support you Peter!

I have been waiting for this news for a long time. The best comedy series since Seinfeld left us in tears when it unexpectedly ended after only 3 hilarious seasons According to the Redeye article Arrested Development movie project has a "GO".

That’s according to star Jeffrey Tambor anyway, who told Steve Weintraub of collider.com that the much-rumored film is a go. Tambor said he talked to “AD” creator Mitch Hurwitz last week, who said it was on.

Tambor didn’t know any specifics about the project, but said that fans can be sure it’s happening.

“When the writer calls you, and the director, and the executive producer calls you, it’s a pretty good sign,” Tambor said in the interview, which you can watch for yourself at Collider.

Tambor said he’s looking forward to revisiting “Arrested Development” and his character, George Bluth Sr.

“We want to close that,” he said. “We want to bring that all to fruition.”

The show starred Tambor, Jason Bateman, Portia de Rossi, Will Arnett, Michael Cera, Tony Hale, David Cross and Jessica Walter, among others.

Facebook Users Attacked by Trojan Virus!

I just want to give you a heads up. Apparently there is a serious threat. According to the Schipul Blog Facebook and its users are having a rough day. A serious Facebook virus is attacking the network’s users.

If you receive a Facebook message (or a Facebook message alert in your email) with a questionable subject line, DO NOT CLICK THE LINK IN THE BODY!

All of the information in this post was garnered from an awesome article from news.com.au by Narelle Towie.

Questionable subject titles vary from “Maan,yyou’re great!” to “your ass looks not bad in this video”, “Some0ne thinks your special and has a *Hot_Crush* on you. Find out who it could be*” or a youtube link that says ‘”i can see yooooooooo”. These links disguise a trojan worm and should not be clicked.

This trojan comes just months after Facebook said it was working to protect its user from phishing scams.

For the tech geeks, here is a more detailed explanation of the virus from Towie’s article:

FACEBOOK users are under attack from a virus sweeping through the online social network.

The virus is technically a trojan worm that disguises itself as an email from facebookmail.com.

People are enticed to click on a misspelled video or picture link that directs to a malicious web site.

The worm spreads its tentacles by emailing everyone on the victim’s friend list.

According to anti-virus software company Symantec, the trojan works by executing a worm called W32.Koobface.A that searches for cookies on the user’s machine.

If the worm finds the appropriate Facebook cookie, it modifies the users account settings and profile - adding links to malicious sites to trick others into installing the invader.

Facebook discussion boards talk about the trojan directing users to a page which looks like YouTube.

The phony page asks the user to install a video player upgrade.

Installing the fake upgrade allows the worm to work its magic and access files on the victim’s machine while destroying their Facebook account.

Facebook has begun combating the virus by deactivating link when it can.

Facebook has not released an official comment regarding the attack.

4. Personal Commercial

One of the best ways to build confidence is listening to a motivational speech. Unfortunately, opportunities to listen to a great speaker are few and far between. You can fill this need by creating a personal commercial. Write a 30-60 second speech that highlights your strengths and goals. Then recite it in front of the mirror aloud (or inside your head if you prefer) whenever you need a confidence boost.

5. Gratitude

When you focus too much on what you want, the mind creates reasons why you can’t have it. This leads you to dwell on your weaknesses. The best way to avoid this is consciously focusing on gratitude. Set aside time each day to mentally list everything you have to be grateful for. Recall your past successes, unique skills, loving relationships, and positive momentum. You’ll be amazed how much you have going for you and motivated to take that next step towards success.

6. Compliment other people

When we think negatively about ourselves, we often project that feeling on to others in the form of insults and gossip. To break this cycle of negativity, get in the habit of praising other people. Refuse to engage in backstabbing gossip and make an effort to compliment those around you. In the process, you’ll become well liked and build self confidence. By looking for the best in others, you indirectly bring out the best in yourself.

7. Sit in the front row

In schools, offices, and public assemblies around the world, people constantly strive to sit at the back of the room. Most people prefer the back because they’re afraid of being noticed. This reflects a lack of self confidence. By deciding to sit in the front row, you can get over this irrational fear and build your self confidence. You’ll also be more visible to the important people talking from the front of the room.

8. Speak up

During group discussions many people never speak up because they’re afraid that people will judge them for saying something stupid. This fear isn’t really justified. Generally, people are much more accepting than we imagine. In fact most people are dealing with the exact same fears. By making an effort to speak up at least once in every group discussion, you’ll become a better public speaker, more confident in your own thoughts, and recognized as a leader by your peers.

9. Work out

Along the same lines as personal appearance, physical fitness has a huge effect on self confidence. If you’re out of shape, you’ll feel insecure, unattractive, and less energetic. By working out, you improve your physcial appearance, energize yourself, and accomplish something positive. Having the discipline to work out not only makes you feel better, it creates positive momentum that you can build on the rest of the day.

10. Focus on contribution

Too often we get caught up in our own desires. We focus too much on ourselves and not enough on the needs of other people. If you stop thinking about yourself and concentrate on the contribution you’re making to the rest of the world, you won’t worry as much about you own flaws. This will increase self confidence and allow you to contribute with maximum efficiency. The more you contribute to the world the more you’ll be rewarded with personal success and recognition.

Excerpts from a Cat's Diary

Day 983 of my captivity.

My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects.

They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength. The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape.

In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet.

Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a "good little hunter" I am. Bastards!

There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of "allergies." I must learn what this means, and how to use it to my advantage.

Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow --but at the top of the stairs.

I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches.

The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released - and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded.

The bird has got to be an informant. I observe him communicate with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe. For now . . .

You know how flowers are one of men's nightmares. You have to buy flowers to your girlfriend on every occasion. You have to buy on Valentine's day, you have to buy on birthdays, on anniversaries, on mother's day etc. However have you ever thought what it means.

Roses only last like a couple weeks and that's if you leave them in water. They really only exist to be pretty. So that's like saying, "My love for you is temporary and based solely on your appearance."

Here my friends, I want to start a new trend. A potato! Potatoes last forever! In fact, not only will they not rot, they actually grow stuff even if you just leave them in the sack. That part alone makes it a good symbol. But there's more! There are so many ways to enjoy a potato! You can even make a battery with it! That's like saying, "I have many ways in which I show my love for you."

And potatos may be ugly, but they're still awesome. So that's like saying, "It doesn't matter at all what you look like, I'll still love you."

We know that most of the big inventions aim the greater good of humanity. What about the greater good of MEN?

#1) Edible Beer Bottles

This is the number one invention that men demand. Beer and food go together like watching Joan Rivers and committing suicide. So what's better than bringing the food TO the beer...with edible beer bottles. Each kind of beer would have a different flavored bottle--German beers would taste like sausage, Pabst Blue Ribbon would taste like pretzels--and the edible bottle glass should taste good cold (if you eat the bottle as you drink) or warm (if you wait until the bottle's empty). Scientists? Get on this...

#2) Porn Toilet Paper

Continuing in the "combining two things that go together theme," I bring you the number two manvention...porn toilet paper. Fact A: men like to service the old dumwaiter while sitting on the toilet. Fact B: keeping old porn magazines around the house is not only embarrassing but also, once they've been "used" for over a week or so, pointless. So toilet paper geniuses, here's what us guys demand--start printing porno onto the tp for our bung holes. That way we can check out the porno, clean up, take a crap and be done with it.

#3) Inter-Office Exercise Equipment

Remember when you could look down and still see your penis? Well, five plus years of sitting on your ass entering numbers into spreadsheets has added a fleshy, hairy deck to that view. But what if, during your down time at the office, you could be working out from the comfort of your own office chair? Swivel chairs that fold back to become a free-weight bench, a chin-up bar attached to your desk's credenza and a copy machine/printer/stair-master combo system should round out your cubicle workout. Science people, make this NOW so we can work off our man-teats.

#4) Insta beard

When it comes to having a beard, the old adage is true: "you're damned if you do, you're damned if you don't;" having a beard is bad-ass, but most chicks (and employers) hate them. So what's a badassitude-seeking guy to do? Well, if these damned scientists would listen to us, you'd be able to bust out a bottle of Insta Beard and paint one on. Insta Beard is a bottle filled with real facial hair and a temporary adhesive that lasts just as long as you need a beard. Got a lunch meeting with an old college buddy? Roll-on some Insta Beard so he doesn't think you've gone all "soft" and "corporate," but take solace in the fact that by the time you slink back into your soft and corporate office chair, the Insta Beard will have dissolved already. Nerds...start doing your calculations for the glue mixture...let's make this happen!

#5) Drunk Copters

Okay, so this isn't an invention that men are demanding as much as it is a service that we desperately need. So we've been doing this designated driver thing for like, I dunno, 15 years or something...whenever Mothers Against Drunk Driving first came out...and let's face it...there's a crucial flaw in the plan. One guy has to not drink!! So that's why us guys are demanding our own fleet of helicopters chartered to fly us around when we're drunk. Then EVERYONE can drink. Except the helicopter pilot, I guess. He better not drink.

#6) Spray-on Socks and Underwear

I can wear a pair of jeans at least ten days in a row without them starting to smell. And I've got like ten drawers filled with T-shirts I've picked up over the years. But I have to do the laundry once a week. Why? I keep running out of damn socks and underwear. That's why the next manvention on the list is Spray-on Socks and Underwear. Basically we'd need scientists to somehow fit a liquid-based cotton solution into an aerosol can that would become solid cotton once the solution hit the air. Science guys, try to fit five pairs per can...then we only need one can per week (hell yes I free ball barefoot on the weekends...you wanna start something?)

#7) The F-Chip

Here's a manvention any guy could get behind! The F-Chip is just like the V-Chip, but rather than blocking violent programming from your TV, it keeps all female programming, like "Sex and the City," "Gilmore Girls" and "Will and Grace," off the air and, in their place, programs old Super Bowls on loop. Not much else to say here other than, build this motherfucker NOW!

#8) Kitchen Swords

What separates a bachelor pad's "eating hole" from some pansy, girlie kitchen? Well, currently, the food items and not much else. But we propose to change that--with the manvention the Kitchen Sword. The Kitchen Sword is exactly what it sounds like...a sword, for use in the kitchen. Coming in all shapes and sizes (from the Butter Broadsword to the Salad Samurai Slicer), the Kitchen Sword is the manly, oversized version of the knife. It's invention would blast the act of cutting food into the next stratosphere. This one wouldn't be too hard to "invent," but I'm pretty sure swords are illegal without certain licenses and stuff, so most of the leg work would have to go to raising money for Kitchen Sword Lobbyists. But guys? It's worth it.

#9) Cold Distillery Backpack

Forget brown-bagging it. With the Cold Distillery Backpack, we're talking portable brewing here, baby! Since current methods of distilling spirits normally requires heat, there's a lot of scientific leg work to be done before these backpacks go on the market. First, the concept of Cold Distilling (making alcohol without heat) would have to be invented. But once we're set in that arena (and after years of perfecting), the Cold Distillery Backpack will become one of the most fantastic inventions ever dreamed of. Just throw the key ingredient into the top of the bag (be it hops for beer, sugar cane for rum or potatoes for vodka) and let the fascinating science of Cold Distilling work its yet-to-be-invented magic and viola! Out comes your own alcohol, straight out the bag's spout! Science dudes, be honest...how close are we to making this one happen? I don't want to give up the dream.

#10) Laser Guided Condoms

Remember when you saw "Terminator" as a kid and Arnie's laser-guided handgun was the most badass thing you ever saw? Well, your penis is about to get just as badass...with our final manvention, the Laser Guided Condom. The "practical" use of these puppies is for dead aim--so you NEVER miss with the lights out (you know, just in case you're prone to throwing your hot dog down the wrong hallway or something). But really, we want this because adding lasers to our wangs would be frickin' hilariously amazing. You could totally do light shows on the ceiling after she passes out from your love making session, not to mention if you slip one of these suckers on at work, secretly give the old woodpecker some air and start doing some classic laser-pointer gags during a company board meeting. No one would be the wiser! Ohh, I want these sooo bad. Scientissssts!!! Pleaaase!

Lost episode ratings

Hey Lost folks. Finally we have seen the last episode of 3rd Lost Season. It was really good but below my expectations. However, if you have seen the Heroes finale, this Lost episode was a training for Heroes folks to show how a season should end. I am really angry about the feel they screwed up a great show like in the last 4-5 episodes. I am planning to write on this in detail.

I can write pages of review about Lost finale but I haven't received any feedback from readers about my Lost reviews and I think you don't appreciate my detailed reviews so I will pass on this finale until I receive a request. Today my friends, I will make you a great favor and teach you how you can use Google to download MP3. Let's assume we want to download I want it that way from Backstreet boys. type in your Google search tab:

intitle:"index.of" mp3 i.want.it.that.way -html -htm -php -asp -cf -jsp

this makes sure you get mp3 file under the Index of/ folders. also the -html, -php etc. makes sure you don't get spam results. the dots between the words are important for search criteria. Push enter and tada. A lot of indexes containing the song you want. Simply click one, find your title and download.

I can hear you complaining about typing this all the time. If you are using Firefox you don't have to. After searching a song copy the address that appears in the address bar and open the bookmarks with ctrl+b. right click and select new bookmark. paste this address to location tab. find the song name in that address and replace it with "%s". type any name you want in the name tab. Type an easy word to keyword tab. Lets say "music". push ok.

Now go to the Firefox address bar and try typing "music hotel.california". It will bring you the results directly. You can use this shortcut feature for all search bars and sorts. For example you can right click on wikipedia or imdb search and click add a keyword for this search.

Lost Season finale on Wednesday..!

The most anticipated TV-Series of all times, Lost is closing up the season on this wednesday evening only to be seen around again in January 2008. It is supposed to be the best finale ever in Lost history. They promise closure on "The Others" story and a great turn around in the main story. While we are waiting eagerly for the 2 hour finale lets read what creators of the show Cuse and Lindelof have to say:

After three years and countless viewer questions, the executive producers of "Lost" are promising fans what they want most from the May 23 season finale: answers.

"We sort of see each season as a book, and we're going to be concluding this book of 'Lost,'" co-executive producer Carlton Cuse said during a break from editing the third season's final episode. "The finale promises a showdown between our guys and the Others, and we really deliver on that."

Not only does the May 23 episode wrap up the third season of "Lost," it also marks a turning point in the show's history. Earlier this month, ABC announced the Emmy and Golden-Globe award winning drama would conclude in 2010.

Knowing exactly how much time they have left -- 48 episodes, to be exact -- Cuse and co-executive producer/co-creator Damon Lindelof said they can plot out twists and turns even the most seasoned viewers won't expect. That means more suspense for those at home -- and more fun for Cuse and Lindelof in the studio.

"It's utterly liberating for us. It allows us to sort of take our remaining mythology and plan it out with great specificity over the remaining 48 episodes," Cuse said.

Providing Answers, Preserving Mystery

Though fans may be more than halfway through the tale of a group of plane crash survivors stranded on a tropical island, some of the story's most basic elements are still in the shadows.

For starters, no one knows where they are: heaven, hell, a black hole or somewhere else altogether. Well, no one except perhaps for Cuse and Lindelof, who refuse to divulge any details. Fans shouldn't expect the producers to one day reveal the island's coordinates (imagine the tour groups that would flood the place by the boat-load) but they can anticipate a conclusion to the epic.

"I think the audience can expect that we can finish our story," Cuse said.
"One of the big ongoing questions on 'Lost' is whether magic is really an element there, or is there a reasonable explanation for all these things. I think when you get to the end of the journey, that will be answered," Lindelof added.

How do Cuse and Lindelof balance providing answers with preserving mystery? In their time working together on "Lost," they have yet to find a formula. There's no ratio; there's no abacus.

"It's like a pendulum swinging back and forth. We sit down every morning and we really hash over that question. There is no perfect temperature to the porridge," Cuse said. "I think that basically the rule is that if Damon and I think something is cool, then it kind of works its way into the show and we just try to use our own gut as the litmus test."

"We are the arbiters of what stays and what goes and what course the show takes," Lindelof added. "But then the show itself sort of has a life of its own. A lot of what Carlton and I try to do is listen to what the show is telling us. The exciting part is when suddenly you realize, 'Hey wait a second, we had this plan but now the show is rejecting it like an organ that doesn't fit.'"

An Online Alter-Ego

Sometimes, shifts in the über "Lost" story come from fans themselves. So, all those fans blogging or posting any number of questions on the Web: the producers are listening.

"We started hearing last year that people were wondering why Hurley was so fat," Cuse said. "So we started discovering a hidden stash of ranch salad dressing in the jungle. We will take on certain questions that percolate to the surface if we really feel like we're ignoring something."

With so much of "Lost" subject to interpretation, fans of the show live on the Internet, throwing out theory after theory about the island, what it means and how it will all end. While shows like "American Idol" and "Dancing With the Stars" make for water cooler fodder, "Lost" is the stuff of serious debate. Beyond the ratings, beyond the awards, the show has burrowed into the cultural fabric of the country, creating a fan base arguably more ravenous and wrapped up than any ever before.

Cuse believes the show's Internet alter-ego is crucial to its on-screen success.

"I think that Lost would never succeed in the pre-Internet era. It's the fact that the show is complicated and intentionally ambiguous; it allows the fans to become involved in its analysis," he said. "In the old school, traditional three or four network media model, this show is too complicated and too hard to keep up with. It wouldn't work."

The much-talked about season one cliffhanger invited the audience to theorize away, Lindelof said.

"When Carlton and I made the choice in the end of season one to end with Locke and Jack looking down into the hatch as opposed to going down there, we opened the door to a tremendous amount of criticism in terms of, 'That's frustrating, why didn't we go in?' But the reality is that the show has always been about, 'What do you think is down there?' We're going to give you six months now to figure that out and we're going to try to think of something nobody has imagined," he said. "There is no Johnny the explainer on the show. There is no great floating head. I feel like that really activates people's imaginations in a positive way."

'Lost's' Legacy

Twenty-five years from now, it's not hard to imagine die-hard fans rubbing dirt on their faces and donning scraggly beards for "Lost" conventions. But Cuse questions whether the legacy of the show will be about the story or the impact the show has had on the way people watch and interact with TV.

"We've accomplished some things with the show that has changed the process and the perception of what a drama show can be," he said. "Whether they'll still be embracing the story, that's kind of more for other people to decide."

Cuse and Lindelof will be embracing the story for three more years. Writing, producing, living, breathing "Lost" day in and day out, the two can't help but think of the show's characters as flesh and blood. Which three would they want with them if they were on a deserted island?

"I definitely would want Locke," Lindelof said. "I probably want Kate, just because she's nice to look at, at the very least. And probably Hurley because you've got to keep it light."

"I would definitely take Kate, Sawyer, and probably Jack -- just you know, the hero character," Cuse said.

In the end, how well fans remember the story after the island and its inhabitants fade into TV history may depend on how it finishes. While the May 23 season finale will provide answers, it will also keep fans salivating for the series finale in 2010. So where will it all end?

Cuse laughed. Lindelof provided some insight, if a bit broad.

"Somewhere just outside the Crab Nebula is where it will all end, geographically," he said.

Starcraft 2 is ON..!

Yeah it is true. At last we can start waiting for SC2 for real. We expected that it would come. There has been so much speculation about it, especially its genre. Many assumed that it will be a MMO but it is confirmed that SC2 will follow the footsteps of its ancestor. It will be a real time strategy with improved graphics and new units. I think the fact that they do not change the whole picture is a good thing since you cannot add too much to an almost perfect game. We have seen so many examples of this. Starcraft is almost perfect and by far the best real time strategy ever. I think you cannot add so much to it other than updating it. Starcraft II web page which was opened recently, offers some nice wallpapers and amazing Blizzard style trailers. You can follow this web site for updates and more information. I suggest you to be patient for SC2 since we all know how many delays we have experienced from Blizzard. Until then, these pictures will have to be sufficient.

This student obviously wanted to try his luck but even luck cannot help you when you are as clever as a vegetable. Here is the answers of a student to a True/False exam and teacher's response.

Dear Michael,

Every year I attempt to boost my students' final grades by giving them this relatively simple exam consisting of 100 True/False questions from only 3 chapters of material. For the past 20 years that I have taught Intro Communications 101 at this institution I have never once seen someone score below a 65 on this exam. Consequently, your score of a zero is the first in history and ultimately brought the entire class average down a whole 8 points.

There were two possible answer choices: A (True) and B (False). You chose C for all 100 questions in an obvious attempt to get lucky with a least a quarter of the answers. It's as if you didn't look at a single question. Unfortunately, this brings your final grade in this class to failing. See you next year!

Below are 6 very funny and true life lessons to be learned that I’ve received via email. Jokes aside, the insight gained is valuable to everyone and I somehow don’t think you’ll regret reading them. ;)

Lesson 1: Naked Wife

A man is getting into the shower just as his wife is finishing up her shower when the doorbell rings. The wife quickly wraps herself in a towel and runs downstairs. When she opens the door, there stands Bob, the next door neighbor. Before she says a word, Bob says, “I’ll give you $800 to drop that towel.” After thinking for a moment, the woman drops her towel and stands naked in front of Bob.

After a few seconds, Bob hands her $800 dollars and leaves. The woman wraps back up in the towel and goes back upstairs. When she gets to the bathroom, her husband asks,…

Moral of the story:

Lesson 3

A priest offered a lift to a Nun. She got in and crossed her legs, forcing her gown to reveal a leg. The priest nearly had an accident. After controlling the car, he stealthily slid his hand up her leg. The nun said,”Father, remember Psalm 129?” The priest removed his hand. But,changing gears, he let his hand slide up her leg again. The nun once again said, “Father, remember Psalm 129?” The priest apologized “Sorry sister but the flesh is weak.” Arriving at the convent, the nun went on her way. Moral of the story: If you are not well informed in your job, you might miss a great opportunity.

Lesson 4

A crow was sitting on a tree, doing nothing all day. A rabbit asked him,”Can I also sit like you and do nothing all day long?” The crow answered: “Sure, why not.” So, the rabbit sat on the ground below the crow, and rested.

A fox jumped on the rabbit and ate it.

Moral of the story: To be sitting and doing nothing, you must be sitting very high up.

Lesson 5: Power of Charisma

A turkey was chatting with a bull “I would love to be able to get to the top of that tree,” sighed the turkey, but I haven’t got the energy.” “Well, why don’t you nibble on my droppings?” replied the bull. “They’re packed with nutrients.” The turkey pecked at a lump of dung and found that it gave him enough strength to reach the lowest branch of the tree. The next day, after eating some more dung, he reached the second branch. Finally after a fourth night, there he was proudly perched at the top of the tree. Soon he was spotted by a farmer, who shot the turkey out of the tree.

Moral of the story: Bullshit might get you to the top, but it wont keep you there.

Lesson 6

A little bird was flying south for the winter. It was so cold the bird froze and fell to the ground into a large field. While he was lying there, a cow came by and dropped some dung on him. As the frozen bird lay there in the pile of cow dung, he began to realize how warm he was. The dung was actually thawing him out! He lay there all warm and happy, and soon began to sing for joy. A passing cat heard the bird singing and came to investigate. Following the sound, the cat discovered the bird under the pile of cow dung, and promptly dug him out and ate him.

Moral of the story:
1. Not everyone who shits on you is your enemy
2. Not everyone who gets you out of shit is your friend
3. And when you’re in deep shit, it’s best to keep your mouth shut!

This is the chart showing percentage of population who have above 30 BMI (Body Mass Index) in different countries. Well, no surprise at number 1. But Greece surprised me since we (Turks) eat the same food with them and actually some more stuff made with flour. Also I would expect Germany to be higher up on the list since all they eat is pork and potatoes with beer. Japan and Korea are healthier than rest as one would expect.

Lost - Left Behind

SPOILERS AHEAD!!!

Juliet is a sandwich monster!! This episode did not reveal many things but confirmed that Juliet is a sick maniac sandwich manufacturer. She must have worked at Deli or Subway previously. The way she beat Kate also showed us that she is not to be messed around.

Kate was about to go crazy when she saw that Locke was acting like one of them yet again after Jack. It's like everyone around her has been taking crazy pills lately. Can we consider that Locke is now one of them? I am not so sure. He is an opportunist and will be with them as long as he has something out of it. Maybe the others gave him his father and asked in return not to blow things up for a while. Nevertheless, Locke had and will have his own agenda. So we can presume that he will not be "joining" the others. Business is something else.

Also he said that he knows what Kate had done and the others are not forgiving. This means that the main purpose for others' existence may be to punish each of them for their former mistakes.

Hurley's banishment con was really clever even though everybody saw it coming in the halfway but Sawyer. He could be pretty thick sometimes. However, obviously when he becomes a decent human being, he has the leader capabilities. Charlie does not have the balls, Hurley does not trust his mental condition, Claire has her own baby to lead, Jin has linguistic problems and Sun who is the strongest candidate against Sawyer, has her husband to deal with. This con made Sawyer see that being nice to people does not necessarily mean being vulnerable. He could make a good leader in the absence of the four (Jack, Locke, Sayid, Kate). However if he gets used to it, there could be problems when they come back.

The gas masks were very ridiculous. There are 4 people to gas and they all wear masks in the jungle. Aren't you a little bit overcautious people? And what is the explanation about how these people disappeared. Sayid was not able to track 50 people's trails. They turned the ghost step mode on again.

Kate's backstory is getting really boring and repetitive. It revealed or added nothing to the character. We only noticed that there is more coincidence by seeing Cassidy teaming up with Kate in order to make her see her mother. Her mother said "You can't help who you love". Kate is in a similar situation. Also she said that she did not want to be rescued. Kate killed her step father for herself. Same as she is trying to save Jack.

Juliet is a sick sandwich making kung-fu knowing pathologic liar. I think the disease Russeau talks about is pathologic lying since almost all the others are affected. I don't believe for a second that Juliet was gassed while making tea. I'm pretty sure she carried an unconscious Kate out to their place in the jungle, cuffed them together, and then played her. Watched her reaction as Kate announces her intent to track back to the barracks. Juliet immediately wants to wait until dark because she wants the rain to wash away whatever traces she might have left behind. If they'd both been dragged there by a third party, she wouldn't be so nervous about Kate wanting to go back.

I think there are two possibilities. The Others really did leave Juliet, but left her as a potential double-agent. They'd do this without telling her, which would give her no dangerous knowledge of where they were going. The other possibility is that Ben and Juliet are still working together, and Juliet is a plant in the beach camp. I think Ben would be promising Juliet something she wanted - another trip off the island. I still can not believe how they agreed to take her with them to the beach. Come on guys listen to Sayid once in a while.

Smokey is back again with some flash tricks. It looked like it had 3 heads and there are some weird theories going on on the web. It did not show things to Juliet like it did to Eko. Also it just turned back when it could not enter the fence. Come on now. If Kate can go over the fence, smokey can do it to.

It was a rather mediocre episode. Nothing special. 3 out of 5.

Sawyer: "Who the hell is Nikki?"

Hahahah. They are in an out. They brought nothing and revealed nothing. They interacted with most main characters yet impacted no one, and they had little or no effect on the storyline. The most unlikable characters of Lost who were introduced and disliked this season are gone. This episode was shot like "The Other 48 days". We found out the story of Paulo and Nikki like we care. We saw most of the key things in the show from their eyes, like the post-plain crash, like Jack's speech about getting used to live on this island, the hatches and etc. The story added almost nothing to the main plot. We got to see Boone and Sharon which was a lot of fun. We also saw Arzt and Ethan. Ethan wanted them to go inland which was interesting. Also we saw old Locke and remembered how much we missed the old one. The way he advised Paulo was really cool. "Things don't stay buried on this island"

Out of the all murderers on the island, Nikki and Paulo turned out to be the worst in my opinion. As a result, the way they died was also the worst. Buried alive. However we once more noticed the smokey sound just before the spiders raided Nikki. She was about to be paralyzed yet still she buried the diamonds like they matter anymore. As a result she could not tell them clearly that she was paralyzed. Greedy bitch. Nikki was the true evil compared to Paulo even though he hid the diamonds and yeah he sucks at that. He is on a huge stranded island and he hides the diamonds in a toilette of a place which is regularly used? Very clever man. Then he puts them inside his pants. Real genius. Also I was stressed at the fact that they did not mention anything to other guys about the plane, the pearl hatch and everything.

Charlie admits to Sun that he was the one who kidnapped her. A good step for Charlie. I do not understand why people hate Charlie so much. He is just a real person. Real characters are not on the extreme like Jack and Sawyer. Real people have ups and downs and make mistakes and learn from them. That is the reason I like characters like Charlie and Gaius Baltar. Sawyer giving up the diamonds showed us that he does not have any hope left to be rescued. Old Sawyer would have kept them. I like how characters change on this show.

The way Ben explained his tactics about manipulating people was not like him. It was made for us so that we could say "aaaa that makes sense". The Ben we know would not just say I will do this and do that to Jack so that he will want to do my surgery. He just does it.

Last couple of weeks were really good but I did not like this episode. I think the only contribution this episode made was to get these amateurly introduced characters out of the show and we are glad for that.

Almost 33% of the American people who took the survey said it is an unnecessity!! Afterwards I talked to these 33% and asked their opinion about Bush and the Iraq war. They were really enthusiastic about the Iraq invasion and how they bring peace and independence to the poor fellas over there. They also mentioned something about Bush being the best leader ever but I am not sure since I was trying to run away at the speed of light..

Haha at last. All the world will be circumcised. WHO (World Health Organisation) announced that circumcision has an effect on HIV protection. According to their tests in Africa, circumcised men have 60% less chance of getting HIV. It is found out that foreskin cells are more vulnerable to HIV infection. So just get rid of it!! Most the people who are not circumcised have great fear about the idea of circumcision. Do not be afraid my friends!! Just a little bit off the edge.

Finally the 3rd game of Command&Conquer series Command&Conquer Tiberium Wars hit the stores. I got my hands onto the game but did not have the time to run it yet. You can see my review of the game here sometime at the weekend. If you think you cannot wait that long, you can either download the 1.17gb demo or purchase the game. If you know about the series, you would remember that the trailers and briefings are very important in the game. Well this time we get some surprises. The casting is very familiar. Sawyer from Lost, Number 6 and Athena (Boomer (Sharon)) from Battlestar Galactica, Cameron from House MD and some more familiar faces are starring in the demos and briefings.

The demo gives you the feeling that something big is coming. Hope we can catch the C&C 2 or Red Alert spirit again. Obviously we don't want to see crap like C&C Generals.

Reuters reports that police in Mexico City have come up with a novel attempt to reduce gun crime in the more vice-ridden parts of the Mexican capital - they're offering a free computer to those citizens who turn in high-calibre weapons (such as machine guns), and a Xbox 360 to anyone who hands in a smaller firearm. Cash is also an option.

The program kicked off yesterday in the notorious Tepito area of the city, and organisers already have 100 computers and consoles to give away to those who give up a weapon. If it works, then the same program will be introduced in nearby Iztapalapa which, much like Tepito, isn't exactly the kind of place you want to be hanging around in at night.

All weapons that are handed in will be mercilessly crushed by the army.

Battlestar Galactica season finale!!! WTF???

SPOILER ALERT!!!
BSG ends the season with a surprising final episode. We finally find out about 4 of the remaining 5 cylons and get a very good idea of the 5th. I found it unprofessionally planned since the creator of the show says that he just decided to make these people cylons, in the last couple of months. They basically made a history check if they fit in cylon prequisites. But we can assume Xena apologized to Tigh when she saw his face because she was the one who tortured him.

And yeah Starbuck is back. omg i am so surprised (sigh).! She found Earth and will take us there. Since the prophecy says a dying leader will take us there, they brought Roslin's cancer back. She will lead the way and die most prolly. As you could guess, Apollo saves Baltar by stating the ugly truth. I think Baltar is the luckiest human being in this universe. If cylons and humans destroy each other with nukes and mass destruction weapons, he would be the last one to survive.

Bits&Pieces:

Our 4 cylons start hearing the same song coming from the ship. All along the watchtower. A cover version of the famous Jimi Hendrix song written by Bob Dylan who are from "Earth". Lyrics are here
Roslin was having the same visions with 2 of the cylons (6 and Athena) which rises the question of her being the 5th cylon even though everything points to Kara.
All 4 cylons are patriots which creates more confusion for them.
We have a short scene of Earth (of course USA particularly)
There is a big chance that the next season will be the last. I could not have agreed more. Not because I don't love this show but because I don't wanna see episodes like soap operas. Most of the fans love this show for its Science&Fiction and strong characters
In his interview the executive producer Ron Moore talks about 2 direct-to-DVD episodes which will tell the story of "Battlestar Pegasus". These stories will be linked to the upcoming season
